| GRENADA has
called on a crack team of investigators to look into the operations
of the offshore financial house First International Bank.
Prime Minister Keith Mitchell asked the Federal
Bureau of Investigation and the British Intelligence Unit to
investigate the bank, following a US newspaper report.
An article in the Miami-based finance/business newsletter
Offshore Alert claimed that the
bank was attracting millions of dollars in deposits to a
Grenada-based stock exchange under false pretenses. |
