About the Conference
The OffshoreAlert Conference covers every aspect of the fast-paced, ever-changing, complex world of Offshore Financial Centers and how they are routinely used by the world's biggest corporations and High Net Worth Individuals to minimize risk and maximize protection.
It is an independent, non-promotional, highly-credible event where everyone interested in OFCs meets on neutral territory to learn what's new, discuss issues and make contacts. They are an eclectic mix of providers, clients and investigators of offshore products and services, government officials, regulators and offshore commercial court judges who live in many countries and jurisdictions around the world.
Our emphasis is on legitimacy and we have sessions for everyone, from novice to expert.
Offshore Providers will learn about legislative and political initiatives in major countries that could impact OFCs, tax and legal developments, court rulings and their wider impact, the progress of ongoing criminal and civil investigations, and any other material issues affecting OFCs and those who work in them.
Offshore Clients will learn about an array of offshore products and services, who they are intended for, what they are designed to do, legal and tax consequences in their home country, how offshore jurisdictions vary in terms of quality, professionalism and products, and other material issues.
Investigators will learn about fraud and asset recovery, insolvency, bankruptcy and liquidation issues, legal gateways for obtaining evidence, what information on corporations, members, officers and directors is available in offshore jurisdictions and how to obtain it and other material issues.
