Watchdog told it 'has a nerve' to issue warning over finance firm

Victims of the collapsed financial services group Imperial Consolidated have accused the head of the Financial Services Authority, the City regulator, of hypocrisy and double standards.
 
Excerpt: David Marchant, publisher of the Miami-based Offshore Alert newsletter, also accused Mr Tiner's speech of being hypocritical. Mr Marchant, who monitored the rise and fall of Imperial Consolidated, said: "The FSA ought to get its own house in order before telling others what to do. Imperial Consolidated was brought to its attention long before the group collapsed and it did nothing."
