Miami-based KYC News, Inc., d.b.a. OffshoreAlert, was incorporated in Florida on November 21st, 1996 and launched its news service three months later.
The company is wholly-owned and operated by its founder, David Marchant, a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States. Having been trained by the National Council for the Training of Journalists, in the U.K., Marchant has worked as a journalist continuously since 1984, initially in Wales, followed by England, Bermuda, and the USA.
OffshoreAlert specializes in exposing serious financial crime while it's in progress and is routinely referenced or quoted by news organizations, TV crime shows, documentary movie-makers, book authors, and criminal, civil, and regulatory investigators in reports and court filings.
OffshoreAlert's exposés on investment fraud, tax evasion and money laundering schemes have contributed to the early collapse of many international criminal schemes, several of whose principals ended up going to prison.
