    Cayman hedge funds sue investment manager for $100 m, allege fraud

    Five Cayman Islands-domiciled hedge funds have accused their Connecticut-based investment manager of fraud after they were allegedly unable to redeem their $100 million investment.
    Details are contained in a civil complaint that was filed at the U. S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on May 23, 2008 by Gottex ABL (Cayman) Ltd., Gottex Matrix Asset Focused Master Fund Ltd., Gottex/Nomura Market Neutral Fund (USD) Ltd., Gottex ABI Master Fund Ltd., Hudson ABL Fund Ltd., which are all domiciled in Cayman and have M&C Corporate Services Ltd. as their registered agent, and BNY AIS Nominees Limited, an Irish corporation which acts as a nominee for the funds, holding their investments and assets.
