James McConvill is Counsel with Forbes Hare. He has extensive experience in international banking and finance law, mergers and acquisitions, energy and resources, corporate governance and compliance, and insurance.
James’ clients include major financial institutions, corporations and investment advisers. He has worked on some of the biggest corporate and commercial deals involving BVI entities in recent years.
Prior to joining Forbes Hare, James worked for five and a half years with the corporate and commercial team of Appleby. Before that, he worked in the corporate/M&A and energy and resources teams of Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens Linklaters) in Australia.
James is the author of “Shareholder Participation and the Corporation” (Routledge, London, 2006) and “Principles of Contemporary Corporate Governance” (Cambridge University Press, New York, 2005, co-author).
