Andrés Knobel, lawyer, studied law at the University of Buenos Aires and was an exchange student at Columbia University in New York. He is now doing his masters in Law and Economics in Buenos Aires, with a focus on tax law and regulation. After working in customs law and international trade at a law firm in Buenos Aires, he has been working as a consultant researcher for Tax Justice Network since 2012, working on the 2013 Edition of the "Financial Secrecy Index", which ranks more than 80 jurisdictions according to their secrecy and the scale of their activities. He is currently working on a research project on the new Automatic Exchange of Information standard.
He has participated as Speaker at conferences on Financial Transparency in New Delhi and Buenos Aires, and in 2013 was distinguished as a "Global Shaper" by the World Economic Forum.
