Yves Klein is a partner of Monfrini Crettol & Associés, Geneva, and is the Chair of the Asset Recovery Subcommittee of the International Bar Association Anti-Corruption Committee.

Together with his partner Enrico Monfrini, Yves Klein has conducted the ground-breaking corruption recovery proceedings in the Nigeria vs. Abacha case, in which more than USD 2 billion have been recovered in ten jurisdictions since 1999. He has also been retained as Swiss counsel in several other corruption recovery cases, on behalf of Brazil, Tunisia and others.

He is also active in transnational fraud recovery proceedings on behalf of individuals, companies and liquidators of bankruptcies. He notably is the Swiss counsel to the liquidators of Stanford International Bank Ltd (Antigua), Banco Turco Romana SA (Romania) and Banco Santos SA (Brazil).

His assistance is also sought by parties, investigators and litigation funders to trace assets and enforce claims, judgments and arbitral awards in Switzerland and abroad, when the defendants’ assets are concealed through complex offshore structures.

Yves Klein holds a Law Degree of the University of Geneva and a Diploma of Higher Studies in International Law of the Graduate Institute of Geneva, and speaks French, English, Portuguese and Spanish, as well as some Italian and German.
