David specializes in general corporate/commercial litigation and medical malpractice/clinical negligence claims, as well as insolvency, trust and estates disputes.
Graduating with his LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2002, he went on to obtain his LL.M. in 2006 from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to that, he received two undergraduate degrees from the University of Ottawa — one in General Arts in 1998, and one in Philosophy in 1999 . He also has his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
After practicing as a litigator in Canada for 5 years, David took the leap and moved to the Cayman Islands in 2008. He spent the next 5 years working with another boutique law firm on the island before deciding to branch out on his own with Randall Foster Martin.
David is a Notary Public and also the Deputy Chairman of the Cayman Islands Health Appeals Tribunal.

Advising and acting for AWAL Bank (BSC) (In Administration) and Baker Tilly, the UK Official Liquidators of the Bank’s wholly-owned subsidiaries in the action brought in the Cayman Islands by Ahmad Hamad Al Gosaibi and Brothers Company against Maan Al- Sanea et al. alleging fraud in multiple jurisdictions in the amount of US$9.2 billion.
