Judge, Supreme Court of the Bahamas (Bahamas)
Ian Winder has been a Judge of The Supreme Court of The Bahamas since October 2013. He presently sits in the Civil and Commercial Division of the Court.
Justice Winder was called to the Bar of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in 1995 and subsequently to the Bar of the Turks and Caicos Islands. He previously had a commercial litigation practice with the firm of Davis & Co. practicing both in The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he was a Lecturer with the Caribbean Council of Legal Education’s Eugene Dupuch Law School where he was the Course Director for the Civil Procedure and Law of Associations courses.
Justice Winder holds the BA(Law & History) and the LLM(Corporate and Commercial Law) from the University of the West Indies.
