By: Knew where Gottlieb was

I remember those FBI letter writing days - thought it was odd.

Also think his name came in an SEC case involving some guy named Gottlieb. Think Gottlieb sued SEC and there was something in case about a Gerrard Forrestor (sp?) knowing location of Gottlieb.

when you mention the Suisse thing in Bahamas. I recall being sent an email from a reporter from a "Channel 51" who was making an inquiry about it and if I knew anything about it a few years ago as your story or article evolved. . perhaps you should also speak with "Brenda" at hunter@johndoes.org or hunter51@johndoes.org she may have further info viz a viz this Forester involvement with that outfit. I think the Channel 51 on TV was either in Pensacola ,Fl or Chicago,IL

Interesting story in The Miami Herald about retired FBI Agent Jerry Forrester caught on tape bragging about kidnapping criminal suspects and sending them back to the Bahamas, including one suspect who was killed in police custody in the Bahamas (where police are notoriously corrupt, incompetent and violent).

Read story at http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/03/30/2142295/ex-fbi-agent-kidnapped-fugitives.html.

It was particularly interesting to me because, in 2001, while he was still an FBI Agent, Forrester wrote two extraordinary letters to the Central Bank of the Bahamas on FBI letterhead in support of fraudulently-operated offshore bank Suisse Security Bank & Trust, which later went into liquidation and was accused of rampant illegal activity by its liquidators. One of the letters was severely critical of OffshoreAlert which, at the time, was exposing SSBT.

You can download the letters from this web-site at
http://www.offshorealert.com/Documents/fbiletters.PDF

Forrester became a private investigator after retiring from the FBI. If you go to Forrester’s web-site at http://www.jf-investigations.com/jerryforrester.htm, you will see that he lists SSBT as one of his consultancies.

Retired FBI Agent Gerard Forrester swore an affidavit in support of Allen Gottlieb in an action against the SEC, which had sued Gottlieb in 1998 for securities fraud and obtained a judgment against him in 2005 in the amount of $2.9 million.

"Mr. Morrison alleged that Jerry Forrester, a former FBI agent, who claimed to be involved in the illegal rendition of Bahamian citizens to the United States, colluded with Bradley Pratt, a disgraced former police officer; Pericles Mailis, Mr. Bacon’s attorney and the former head of the Bahamas National Trust (BNT) and Braithwaite."

It would be an old case involving an Allen B. Gottlieb. Around 2005 or so with Gottlieb as plaintiff in case against SEC..

Cayman Court Secrecy: A Huge Red Flag for Foreign Investors & Clients
David Marchant
As any fule kno, the biggest enemy of fraud, corruption, money laundering, and other forms of financial crime is transparency, while their best friend is secrecy. That's why the unprecedented mass sealing of cases that's taking place at the Financial Services Division of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands is repugnant to anyone with a genuine concern for financial crime.
