"Doesn't matter what currency they use... If they want to sell oil in the U.S., they're going to have to trade in U.S. Dollars."

Think you've got your knickers on backwards, squire. The US probably needs foreign oil more than the foreigners need the US$

Doesn't matter what currency they use... If they want to sell oil in the U.S., they're going to have to trade in U.S. Dollars. The gist of the article is akin to saying you're going to Mexico for a vacation and planning on paying in Russian Rubles; they may be worth something, but nobody on the streets of Ciudad Juarez is going to take them!

Or, much more likely, the entire story is a big pile of crap.

To those who think this is bull, you are months late on the news, as these discussions have taken place, and the countries involved to move options have also stated they think the united nations is the independent body that should reside control over these issues. The reason behind most of this is the unverified exchange of information. The problem has been the same as the downfall of US due to corruption involved with a few big corporations running US policy through lobbist. The US has let a few destroy the way of life for many. Small business is the backbone of all countries. To ignore such is to look for decling GDP. In an international comunity, the foolish thoughts of a few major companies dictating policy for
all, is how they have drove up the cost for all. The few are the only ones to benefit. For the world to work together, the few must understand there word does not overshadow all. The world community has spoken, and changes have to be made. The are few real leaders to lead the way.

thanks

Cayman Court Secrecy: A Huge Red Flag for Foreign Investors & Clients

As any fule kno, the biggest enemy of fraud, corruption, money laundering, and other forms of financial crime is transparency, while their best friend is secrecy. That's why the unprecedented mass sealing of cases that's taking place at the Financial Services Division of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands is repugnant to anyone with a genuine concern for financial crime.
