Inflation is inevitable; it is the only way that the government can effectively reduce the size of the debt. The question is whether the government can run *some* inflation, say 5% annually, and keep it in check at that level.

Not only can the next generation not find jobs, but they may find themselves where my own generation once was in facing 10% mortgage rates when they attempt to buy their first home.
