FTX CEO John J. Ray III will discuss his attempts to recover value for the crypto group’s customers, creditors, and investors at OffshoreAlert’s Miami conference in April.
He and one of FTX’s offshore liquidators, Bahamas-based lawyer Brian Simms KC, will present a session entitled ‘Inside the FTX Liquidation: How Offshore & Onshore Insolvency Administrators Reached a Global Settlement‘.
They will discuss the hard-fought battle for jurisdiction between Delaware and The Bahamas and how they eventually overcame differences and complex legal issues to arrive at a ‘global pooling’ settlement.
It is one of 16 sessions on intelligence, investigations, and recovery in high-value international finance that comprise The 20th Annual OffshoreAlert Miami Conference on April 14-16.
