I read the lawyer's letter asking for the removal of the content on Harvey Boulter with great interest. As one of the investors in the companies associated with Porton Capital I would welcome as much publicity and transparency as possible into the management of the associated funds. Based on the value of the monies invested by my partner and I we have lost around GBP100k. To middle-of-the-road investors such as ourselves this is a significant amount of money and funds that we were looking to use as part of our retirement. Instead we're now both in a less attractive position where we have less time remaining to create the right financial situation for retirement. We did have a certain amount of hope with the Porton Action Group and and at various times felt that there may be some way to recover even part of what we invested. However, like the monies we put into Porton, it just seemed to fade away. Given that our investments are far less significant than some of the other funds invested I am somewhat surprised that Harvey Boulter seems to be able to just slip away into the night. I haven't seen any kind of newspaper coverage or TV programmes about the man - incredible when you think that he's been enjoying such a lavish lifestyle at the expense of honest investors. Or is that simply an indictment of the times we live in that his 'crime' is too far down the ladder to even warrant column inches? Hopefully someone picks this up at some point and the financial regulators (who I am sure he feels he's running rings around) of the respective country(ies) he's operating in are able to throw a net around him. I won't be holding my breath on that one!
Mark van Leewarden (LLB) of Warden Consulting NZ is considered New Zealand's leading fraud and financial crime investigator. Mark was responsible for investigating and the uncovering and finally exposing Omran Al Musawi - Harvey Boulters "Rep" in the GCC based in Bahrain. Mark was giving a talk on Financial Crime at the Capital Club Bahrain when he was asked by a member of the club "Have I been defrauded?" and shown the HB Share Certificates. Shortly afterwards Mark and several of his people started investigating HB and Porton and even went to the (deserted) offices in Dubai. After interviewing Omran Al Musawi in Bahrain Mark gave his answer - "Yes you have been defrauded!" and then put a classic fraud criminal complaint case together for the victim, filed the case (in Arabic as required in GCC law) with the Ministry of Interior Financial Intelligence Directorate and CID and followed up diligently with the MOI and Prosecutors. Omran Al Musawi was sentenced in April to 3 years in Juw prison in Bahrain; BD50,000 fine and all his assets and accounts seized. HB is on the radar. If you have invested with or lost money with HB, especially if you are already in a class action group - make contact with the offices of Warden Consulting in NZ (Google their website) and get together to have this sorted this out once and for all. I invested 31,120 GBP in a Porton company , Smart Holograms , in April 2006. The company was subsequently liquidated at zero value. I'm sure there are many more people in a similar position and so Boulter's desire not to have the affairs of companies under his stewardship under any microscope is hardly surprising.
Being self employed, my husband and I tried to set up our own retirement fund. We invested 50,000 GBP in the Porton company Smart Holograms in Feb 2006 and $21,102 in the Porton Science and Innovation Fund ( via a Royal Skandia Bond) in Oct 2000. Both of these investments have gone into liquidation and proved worthless. Not the solid investment we thought would bring us reasonable financial security in our retirement.
In Oct 2007 I invested 30,000 GBP in both the Porton linked companies of Enigma Diagnostics and Smart Holograms (60,000 GBP total). No returns have been received and I understand that both companies are in liquidation with nil value to investors. This investment of my life savings was to support my imminent retirement. Now I have been retired for 2 years and living on my basic UK State Pension. Disgusted and disillusioned.
I invested a significant amount of money into SMART Holograms in 2007 that has subsequently been lost by the liquidation of this and apparently most other firms with Porton/Harvey Boulter involvement. I would encourage Offshore Alert and all investors to continue the pressure to expose these people/companies. The Porton Action Group does not appear to have made any significant progress either and I have now given up all hope of receiving any satisfaction, either in the return of funds or any action being taken against Porton and its management. I will have to put this down to experience but it has proven to be a very costly mistake.
For your information - Harvey Boulter's share sales advisor in Bahrain - Omran Al Musawi of MPR was today sentenced to 3 years in jail for defrauding investors even after launching an appeal against his original sentence for selling shares in the Porton Group. The case was fully investigated/lodged with the Bahrain Ministry of Interior by Mark Van Leewarden of Warden Consulting New Zealand.
Omran Al Musawi sentenced - appealed - failed - jailed - today for 3 years, plus BD50,00 (USD 1250,000) Fine and bail bond of BD 50,000 as well. Harvey Boulter the world is going to get small for you too.... for more info - see here - https://www.slideshare.net/DubaiScamExposer/large-numbers-of-bahraini-and-british-investors-deceived-by-fraudster-omran-al-mosawi-aka-omran-al-musawi
I am sure if enough people contact Mark Van Leewarden he will go after Harvey Boulter as well - Mark has a sign above his door in Warden Consulting NZ - "We tame Lion's".
with regards to 3 year jail term for harvey boulter's salesman. great to finally see some justice, which hopefully will make its way to harvey himself sooner rather than later.
I read the letter concerning Harvey Boulter and was more than a bit disappointed. My wife and I invested almost 100K Pounds in the Smart Hologram company . We appear to have lost this sum and it is really significant for us who are now almost retired and wished to use a decent return for the future retirement. No returns have been received and I understand that the company is in liquidation with nil value to investors, which is horrendous when we thought we would only be debating the level of return. We had supported the Porton Action Group to recover something from our investment, but it failed, and now we are very upset that Harvey Boulter is able to get away with no recourse for his awful actions that have affected so many in an terrible way.
We hunt for red flags in high-value, cross-border finance by monitoring offshore and onshore courts, regulatory actions, offering documents, and other sources - and email you the results.
