Nine years after OffshoreAlert raised red flags about the group, the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission has accused New Jersey-based investment adviser Yorkville Advisors and its boss, Mark Angelo, of defrauding hedge fund investors of more than $10 million.

Complaint by the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission v. Yorkville Advisors, LLC, Mark Angelo, and Edward Schinik at the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging the defendants defrauded investors in hedge funds domiciled in the Cayman Islands and Delaware.
